European Markets Higher on Heels of Big Moves in Asia

Asian (excluding Indian) markets moved up strongly in overnight trading. European markets also trend higher on reassurances from the US Federal Reserve that continued quantitative easing will help sustain an economic recovery. In Asia: Japan +2.7%, Hong Kong +2%, China +2.3%, India -1.7%. In Europe: London +0.2%, Paris +0.3%, Frankfurt +0.4%.

Italian markets fall 4%

European markets falling across the board on heels of renewed concern for economic situation after Italian elections. Asian markets also closed lower with Japans Nikkei 225 down 2.09% and Hong Kongs Hang Seng down 0.90%

Shanghai markets fall 4.9% this week

Shanghai Composite slid another 0.5% in overnight trading. Worst weekly loss of 4.9% in almost 2 years. The decline comes following a 24% rally since Dec. 3, 2012.
