Stericycle, Inc.has announced to acquire privately-held Shred-it International, the global secure information destruction services provider, for $2.3 billion in cash.
The addition of Shred-it will significantly enhance the breadth and depth of our portfolio with a new service that is used and valued by many of our customers. The Shred-it business brings with it a compliance solution focused on secure information destruction. Shred-it provides service to more than 400,000 global, national and local customer locations, the majority of whom are small customer. Globally, the company operates a fleet of over 2,400 trucks, has more than 200 facilities, and is supported by 5,400 team members.
